Crush on my co-worker

I've developed a huge crush on my co-worker. He sits right beside me and all day I can hear him, see him, even smell his cologne. He's married though, as I am, and my husband works with us and is friends with my co-worker's wife. It's not that I think about either of us leaving our marriage and being together... or even really of having an affair. But the attraction in my mind is so strong because he does what my husband can't - he makes me laugh and talks with me. We have long conversations about the many things we have in common, and for one of the very few times in my life I don't feel as if I have to dumb-down my intelligence or language. I feel... respected and admired and as if what I have to say matters. I feel appreciated. And then again... there is that tension, when he gets close and we're reviewing some bit of work or other, and I just want to keep him near me always.

I definitely am opposed to behaving the way the previous guest suggested. You need to think about where your thoughts are actually coming from. If you really "love" him, then you deserve to be happy. Talk to your husband about what he (your husband) lacks and, in your mind, think about what you want your husband to do more of and maybe let him know. He can't fix something if he doesn't know there's something wrong with it.

Well, then virtually 'get it out of your system' by visualizing him when you're with your husband. One night repeat a joke he told and make a general comment like, he's quite the character. Then ask him what his wife is like. From there you could even pretend to role play and giggle by shouting out your co-worker's name while he slaps your behind and calls you by his co-worker's name. Just a quick thought.
